Privacy Policy for Highway Runner
This policy describes the data handled by Highway Runner, including its Unity Gaming Services and Google AdMob integrations.
1. Accounts and game progress
Highway Runner uses Unity Authentication for guest accounts and optional username-and-password accounts. It processes a player ID, username, authentication credentials and session tokens to create accounts, sign players in and maintain sessions. Guest play also uses an anonymous player ID; it does not mean that no data leaves your device.
Unity Cloud Save stores account-linked game progress, such as coins, scores, best distance and supported game preferences. Unity Leaderboards processes player identifiers and scores to provide rankings. Leaderboard entries, including displayed player names or identifiers, scores and ranks, can be visible to other players. Do not put sensitive personal information in your username.
This version does not offer Google or Facebook sign-in and does not use Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics or Google Play Games Services. Its account and leaderboard features use Unity Gaming Services.
2. Advertising and technical data
Highway Runner uses Google AdMob to display rewarded advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares IP addresses (which can be used to estimate approximate location), device and advertising identifiers, app and advertisement interactions, and diagnostic/performance information such as launch time, hangs and energy usage. These data are used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
Watching a rewarded advertisement is optional, but the advertising SDK can initialize and request ads before you choose to watch one. Choosing guest play or not watching an ad does not necessarily prevent the SDK's data collection.
Advertising identifier availability and use depend on Android settings and applicable SDK privacy settings. You can use your Android privacy controls to reset or delete your advertising ID. The game does not request precise GPS location or access to your inbox, contacts, photos, or SMS messages.
3. Service providers and sharing
Unity provides Authentication, Cloud Save and Leaderboards. Google provides AdMob advertising and related measurement. These providers process data needed to supply their services. Leaderboard information is displayed to other players as described above. Dreamup Studio does not sell personal information for money.
For provider practices, see Unity's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. Provider processing can occur in countries other than your own.
4. Why information is used
- Account creation, authentication and session management.
- Saving and restoring progress and providing leaderboard rankings.
- Displaying and measuring advertisements.
- Diagnosing technical problems and improving service performance.
- Preventing fraud and abuse and responding to support requests.
If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. This support correspondence is separate from in-game account registration; the game does not read your email inbox.
5. Security
Data transmitted by the game's Unity services and Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Encryption in transit protects network transmission; it is not a guarantee that no security incident can occur. Never send your password to support.
6. Account deletion and retention
You can request deletion without reinstalling the game. Email support.dreamup@gmail.com with the subject Highway Runner Account Deletion Request and your Highway Runner username or player ID. Do not send your password. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify account ownership.
We complete verified requests within 30 days. Deletion covers your Unity authentication account, account-linked cloud progress and leaderboard records under our control. Deleted-account records are not retained in backups. Deletion is permanent and progress cannot be restored.
Account-linked data is retained while needed to provide your account until you request deletion. Information processed independently by advertising providers is subject to their own privacy and retention practices; deleting a Highway Runner account does not delete a separate Google account or reset your device's advertising ID. Contact us for help directing requests to relevant providers.
See the Account and Data Deletion page for instructions, including guest accounts. Uninstalling the game or signing out does not itself delete an online account.
7. Age and privacy requests
Highway Runner is intended for players aged 13 and above. If you believe a child's personal information has been handled improperly, contact us. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, or object to certain processing. Send requests to support.dreamup@gmail.com.
8. Policy updates
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above. Contact Dreamup Studio at support.dreamup@gmail.com with questions.
